Role: Senior Information Architect / Data Lead

Manufacturing customer is looking for an experienced Senior Information Architect / Data Lead for a 12-month consulting assignment. The role is positioned at the intersection of traditional data management, emerging AI initiatives, and evolving EU regulations.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and IT execution, ensuring cohesive data modeling across cross-functional domains while supporting the organization's ongoing AI transformation.

Start: August 2026

Duration: 12 months

Location: Helsinki / Hybrid

Language: English

Other: 100% allocation (Full-time)

Key Responsibilities & Technical Skillset

  • Data Modeling & Structures: Define and maintain cross-functional data models, specifically within marketing, communications, and sustainability (ESG) domains.
  • Data Integration: Map data from corporate Data Warehouses and production systems to enable centralized reporting, auditing, and compliance.
  • AI Integration & Engineering: Align data architecture and structures to actively support AI initiatives, automation, and Large Language Models (LLM).
  • Data Governance: Define and manage data retention periods, governing data life cycles across internal systems and European databases.

Business Domain Experience

As a business-funded role, the consultant must possess strong commercial acumen and experience in the following areas:

  • EU Regulation & ESG: Ability to respond to evolving EU directives, with a specific focus on ESG reporting and the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
  • Digital Marketing: Enable and support digital marketing agility through optimized data models.
  • M&A Readiness: Evaluate data ownership and manage data segregation during corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestments.

Soft Skills & Context

  • Bridge-builder: Act as the strategic "glue" between Finnish business stakeholders and IT implementation teams during a major, structurally segregated IT overhaul.
  • International Environment: Ensure seamless communication and a unified "source of truth" between the Helsinki headquarters and the rapidly expanding Digital Marketing Hub in Central Europe unit.
