DevOps Engineer

In this role, you will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple product lines.

This assignment emphasizes hands-on AWS engineering, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, and FinOps. You will collaborate closely with architects and developers to enhance the developer experience and deliver resilient cloud platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code: Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Automation: Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable deployments.
• Reliability & Scalability: Partner with dev and ops teams to ensure operational excellence and platform stability.
• Security & Compliance: Implement cloud security best practices and ensure all infrastructure meets rigorous standards.
• FinOps: Drive cloud cost optimization, resource management, and cost-efficiency monitoring.
• Operations: Troubleshoot complex issues across deployments and platform services; automate monitoring and operational workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a similar cloud-focused role.
• Deep AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience with EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and MSK.
• IaC Proficiency: Strong skills in Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• CI/CD: Experience with GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or equivalent tools.
• Systems Knowledge: Strong command of Linux-based production environments.
• Architecture: Solid understanding of cloud networking, security principles, and serverless/event-driven workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or TypeScript.
• Containers: Experience with Docker and orchestration tools (Kubernetes/EKS).
• Observability: Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• IoT Knowledge: Experience with telemetry protocols like LwM2M or MQTT is a significant plus.
• Agile: Experience working within Scrum or Kanban frameworks.

Work Setup

• Location: Primary office located in Keilaniemi, Espoo.
• Hybrid Model: Preferred setup is 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (after initial onboarding).
• Timeline: 6-month initial contract with a strong possibility of extension.
• Location: Espoo, Keilaniemi (Hybrid)
