Background
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development of a product within energy trading.

About the role
The team already has a consultant on the frontend side and is now looking for a candidate with a primary focus on backend (Python), software, infrastructure, and DevOps. The role also involves close interaction with the product’s customers, so we are looking for a solution-oriented person with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of backend solutions in Python
  • Infrastructure and DevOps tasks
  • Setup and improvement of pipelines
  • Contribute to test coverage and quality assurance through writing tests
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to identify and deliver solutions

Desired qualifications

  • Solid experience with DevOps and infrastructure
  • Strong skills in Python
  • Experience with pipelines and software development
  • Previous experience with energy trading is a big plus

Personal qualities

  • Motivated to contribute and take ownership
  • Independent and proactive
  • Quick to grasp new challenges
  • Strong team player, and good communicative skills
