Lead Developer

Role: Lead Developer

We are looking for an Expert Developer in Information Capability for a major Nordic banking client to join their Credit & Capital Data Foundation (CCDF) Strategic Programme.
In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of the development lifecycle—from requirements and low-level solution design to development, testing, and release readiness—to ensure the successful accomplishment of the BASEL Rewiring initiative. The program focuses on remediating regulatory findings, covering major data gaps, and creating consistent, trusted, and governed data within the Credit and Capital domain.

Start: 1.8.2026

Duration: 6 months (Until 2027-01-31)

Location: Helsinki, Finland (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Language: English

Tech-wise we're looking for:

  • Experience working with the technology implementation of large-scale enterprise solution architecture
  • Understanding of modern application stacks incorporating both open-source and third-party technologies
  • Experience with integration and common integration patterns to support batch and real-time processing
  • Understanding of data and information architecture, including data modeling and common data management technologies
  • Understanding of security requirements and experience implementing appropriate controls as part of solutions
  • Hands-on experience in cloud data warehouses using Snowflake (Nice-to-have)
  • Experience with ETL pipeline development, orchestration, and CI/CD setup in Snowflake (Nice-to-have)

Soft-skills we're looking for:

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to guide, build consensus, and work effectively as part of a project team
  • Leadership and technical guidance capabilities to support development teams with architectural decisions and best practice implementation
  • Business acumen and the ability to understand the banking business, specifically credit risk and credit portfolio management

Other: Ability to manage code quality for system maintainability, optimize Agile ceremonies, streamline release cycles, and deliver according to strict banking governance standards.
