Role: Data Engineer

We are seeking a Data Engineer for a financial services company initiating a greenfield project to build a brand-new data platform from scratch. The scope of work centers on designing and implementing solid, future-proof data modeling structures and building scalable data pipelines leveraging Snowflake, dbt, and GCP. Following a modern data product philosophy, the engineer will collaborate closely with a Data Platform Engineer and actively guide stakeholders through technical data modeling choices.

Start: September 2026

Duration: 2–3 months + recruitment possibilities

Location: Remote allowed (Hybrid optional with offices in Turku, Finland)

Language: English

Other: 70%–100% workload allocation required

Tech-wise we're looking for:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt (data build tool)
  • Strong expertise in modern data modeling methodologies and data warehousing principles
  • Solid understanding of modern data product philosophy in a greenfield ecosystem
  • Experience or strong comfort level working within the financial services sector
  • Capability to build scalable data pipelines that serve as blueprints for future development

Soft-skills we're looking for:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive approach to guiding and advising diverse teams through complex technical data modeling choices
  • Collaborative mindset for working closely with a Data Platform Engineer on the infrastructure side
