Data Platform Engineer
Role: Data Platform Engineer
We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer for a financial services company launching a greenfield project to build a brand-new data platform from scratch. The scope of work centers on constructing a future-proof, scalable platform utilizing Snowflake, dbt, and GCP, driven by a modern data product philosophy. The engineer will collaborate closely with data modeling teams and guide business and technical stakeholders through key architectural choices.
Start: September 2026
Duration: 2–3 months + recruitment possibilities
Location: Remote allowed (Hybrid optional with offices in Turku, Finland)
Language: English
Other: 70%–100% allocation required
Tech-wise we're looking for:
- Strong expertise in Snowflake and dbt (data build tool)
- Hands-on experience working within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment
- Solid understanding of modern data product philosophy and building greenfield ecosystems
- Strong background or comfort level working within the financial services sector
- Experience working within agile methodologies and frameworks
Soft-skills we're looking for:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive approach to guiding and advising teams through technical and architectural decisions
- Collaborative mindset for working closely with Data Engineers and other technical cross-roles
