Role: Senior embedded developer
We are seeking a senior-level engineer for a project centered on designing and implementing connectivity solutions for machine IoT data within the industrial automation and manufacturing domain. The scope of work covers both on-premises shop-floor environments and cloud integration, focusing on software development for systems-on-chip and embedded Linux environments. Operating within an Enablement team, the consultant will contribute to technical architecture, hands-on development, and support multiple feature teams.
Start: ASAP ( 8/2026)
Duration: 6 months (includes a 1-month onboarding period)
Location: Helsinki Metropolitan Area preferred
(Remote/flexible location is possible)
Language: English (Knowledge of Chinese is a big plus)
Other: 100% workload allocation required
Tech-wise we're looking for:
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems and industrial control systems
- Deep expertise in software development on systems-on-chip (SoC) and embedded Linux environments
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Shell scripting
- Solid understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps practices
- Familiarity with Yocto Linux, China Telecom networks, and the Cumulocity IoT platform is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of Node.js and Java is a plus
Soft-skills we're looking for:
- Ability to work effectively in an Enablement team setup and manage cross-team dependencies
- Strong documentation skills (writing technical architecture, operations instructions, and code reviews)
- High autonomy with the capability to contribute hands-on with limited ramp-up support
