Our client, a large international company operating within the IT hardware industry, is looking for an Interim Data & AI Lead. Over the past few years, the customer has heavily invested in its data capabilities and currently has a highly capable team executing various data and AI initiatives. The customer's core technical environment consists of a Snowflake data platform using dbt as the primary development tool, alongside Qlik for dashboarding and visual analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technical implementation team.
  • Ensure that all ongoing and future data and AI initiatives are strategically aligned to meet concrete business needs.
  • Lead the data and AI team, providing direction and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Manage project planning, task scheduling, and overall project delivery.
  • Facilitate and guide strategic business discussions regarding the adoption and integration of AI capabilities.

Qualifications and technical skills:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in a leadership role with excellent people skills to manage and motivate a technical team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively manage expectations and translate business requirements to technical teams.
  • Project Management: Strong capabilities in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Cloud Data Platforms: A solid overall understanding of cloud data architecture.
  • Specific knowledge of Snowflake is a distinct advantage, though not strictly required.
  • Visual Analytics: An understanding of BI and visual analytics tools. Previous experience with Qlik is considered a plus.
  • AI Capabilities: A strong grasp of modern AI capabilities and concepts to credibly advise stakeholders and guide business-level discussions.

  • Project start time: August 2026
  • Project duration: 11 months + possible extensions
  • Allocation: 80% - 100%
  • Location requirements: Hybrid work model (Client headquarters located in Helsinki)
  • Language requirements: Fluent in Finnish and English
