Role: Senior Data & AI Strategic Advisor

We are seeking a high-level Senior Data & AI Strategic Advisor to act as a vision-shaping sparring partner and roadmap executor for the Head of Data Factory. The role involves guiding a team of 100+ engineers through this high-pressure transition without disrupting ongoing regulatory reporting.

Start: August / September 2026 (Initial scoping chats before mid-June 2026)

Duration: Multi-year roadmap (Part-time / Advisory setup)

Location: Fully Remote (Aligned with Nordic time zones)

Language: English

Tech-wise we're looking for:

  • Deep conceptual understanding of Snowflake and deconstructing massive relational monoliths into Data Products
  • Strong architectural grasp of Apache Iceberg and Cloud Object Storage to prevent vendor lock-in
  • Proven experience transitioning traditional Data Lakes/Warehouses to a decentralized Data Mesh model
  • Strategic understanding of data governance and ownership boundaries for Aggregate Data Products
  • Experience navigating migrations away from legacy Cloudera/Hadoop environments

Soft-skills:

  • Seniority and communication skills to act as an authoritative, collaborative peer to Director and Head-level stakeholders
  • Proven enterprise leadership in highly regulated environments (Banking, Finance, or Insurance)
  • Change management expertise to handle cultural friction and upskill teams shifting from legacy ways of working
  • Scale competence in strategically steering large, distributed teams across multiple geographies (e.g., Nordics, Poland, India)

Other: This is a high-value, part-time advisory/interim role rather than an engineering execution position, strong change management capabilities to align teams shifting from dual-platform silos to a unified data product mindset - multi-year transformation project.
