Quality Assurance Lead – Digital Services

This role is perfect for someone who combines a "hands-on" testing mentality with the confidence to lead and improve testing practices within a fast-paced, agile environment.

The QA Lead will play a pivotal role in two major initiatives:

  • Global Service Network: Maintaining and developing digital services for a worldwide service and dealer network.
  • Platform Renewal: A large-scale public website renewal with a significant focus on complex integrations.

Role and Responsibilities

As the QA Lead, you will be responsible for the holistic view of quality. Your tasks include:

  • Process Integration: Seamlessly integrating quality and testing practices into the daily development workflow.
  • Hands-on Testing: Actively supporting manual testing efforts when needed.
  • Strategy & Consultation: Providing instructions, training, and support to development teams regarding QA best practices.
  • Automation Planning: Assisting in the coordination and planning of test automation frameworks.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and managing potential risks from a quality assurance perspective throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Business Alignment: Understanding business requirements and ensuring they are reflected in the development quality.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who is eager to take ownership and can adapt rapidly to changing environments.

Key Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a QA Lead or Test Management related role.
  • Solid experience with agile QA frameworks, methods, and practices.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle from a quality standpoint.
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to mentor teams and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Language skills: Fluency in both Finnish and English is required.

Technical "Pluses":

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and continuous release practices.
  • Experience in leveraging AI tools within quality assurance processes.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: June 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026.
  • Allocation: 100%.
  • Note: July is designated as a holiday period.
  • Location: Mostly remote possible with some onsite at Kuopio/Tampere.
