Fullstack AI Engineer for Customer Service Modernization

The project focuses on automating customer service for a high-volume business-to-consumer environment. Utilizing state of the art Google Cloud Platform tooling, our customer is eager to introduce AI capabilities into their customer service process. Key components of this project include triaging and responding to incoming customer support requests and processing of discount voucher codes and maintenance ticketing requests. You will also ensure that AI-processed data is captured for trend analysis and that human operators have visibility into automated decisions, moving away from manual tracking toward a streamlined, data-driven dashboard. While the main focus is in digital channels initially, voice channel is a high-interest area for future expansion.

Responsibilities

  • AI System Development: Develop and deploy the core agentic AI system that routes and processes customer reclamations according to existing documentation and process descriptions.
  • Dashboard & Reporting: Set up automated reporting pipelines to Google Sheets or other lightweight reporting environment to track traffic, reclamation trends and technical logs.
  • Human-in-the-loop Oversight: Develop the necessary interfaces for product owners and customer service agents to monitor AI actions and handle exceptions.
  • Process Mapping: Work with business development managers, customer service agents and process owners to redesign and optimize back-end processes for AI implementation as needed.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Interface with external maintenance partners to ensure technical tickets are routed correctly by the AI.

Qualifications and technical skills:

  • Core Platform: Core Platform: Deep expertise in - or adaptability to quickly get up-to-speed with - Google Cloud Platform, specifically Vertex AI, Gemini and its other AI-development / RAG-architecture related components.
  • AI/LLM Implementation: Experience with Google Gemini and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.
  • Data & Analytics: Proficiency in data orchestration and exporting structured AI outputs for lightweight business intelligence and reporting.
  • System Integration: Ability to connect AI agents with legacy systems via API connections.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate manual, complex "human-in-the-loop" processes into automated, scalable AI workflows.
  • Future Readiness: familiarity in voice bot implementation, phone-based AI agents and potential CRM integration for later project phases.
