Data Platform Advisor

Our client, a major player in the Insurance and Finance sector, is undergoing a strategic transformation to pivot from a product-centric to a customer-centric business model. Currently, their legacy CRM and data platforms are technically outdated and lack the necessary content capabilities to support this vision. The project involves a high-level advisory team, consisting of a CRM Advisor and a Data Platform Advisor, tasked with defining the transition. The goal is to bridge the gap between the current state and a future-proof, customer-centric architecture by creating a comprehensive strategic roadmap and defining the technical requirements for the next-generation data environment.

Responsibilities

As the Data Platform Advisor, your primary focus will be the evolution of the data ecosystem. Your main tasks include:

• Assessing the current state of the existing data platform to identify technical and functional gaps.
• Defining the technical capabilities and architectural requirements for the future data platform.
• Collaborating with the CRM Advisor to ensure seamless data integration and alignment with customer-centric goals.
• Creating a strategic roadmap that outlines the transition from legacy systems to a modern environment.
• Providing expert guidance on how data modeling and governance should be structured to support the new business strategy.

Qualifications and Technical Skills

To succeed in this role, you should possess a blend of strategic vision and deep technical expertise:

• Modern Cloud Data Platforms: Extensive experience with modern cloud-based data architectures (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Snowflake).
• Data Modeling & Governance: Strong proficiency in designing scalable data models and establishing robust governance frameworks.
• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence senior stakeholders.
• Industry Expertise: Prior experience or domain knowledge within the Insurance or Finance sector is considered a significant advantage.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate high-level business needs into concrete technical requirements and a phased roadmap.
