Information Security Specialist (Espoo, Finland)

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Specialist for a global software technology provider. This is a hands-on, operative role focused on ongoing security operations, vendor compliance, and stakeholder communication. You will be instrumental in ensuring that vendor security practices align with high organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Security: Reduce the backlog of vendor security reviews by assessing protocols and practices.
• Compliance Assessments: Conduct security and compliance assessments as part of the onboarding and review process.
• Policy Management: Handle and update internal security policies to reflect current standards.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact for customers and internal teams on security-related topics.
• Follow-up: Manage vendor security compliance and ensure all follow-up actions are executed.

Requirements

• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of the EU security landscape, including GDPR and emerging regulations like the AI Act.
• Frameworks: Familiarity with common security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST).
• Execution Mindset: A strong "get-things-done" approach with the initiative to operate independently in an operational environment.

Good to Have

• Industry Background: Experience in defense, critical infrastructure, or other high-security environments.
• Geographic Experience: Experience working with Nordic and/or US-based companies

Working style

• Practical, execution-oriented approach
• Comfortable operating independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• Able to manage multiple parallel tasks and follow through on compliance activities
