Senior Fullstack Developer (AI-assisted)

We're looking for a Senior Senior Full-Stack Engineer (AI-assisted) for a client working in telecommunications.

Start: January 2026
Duration: Open-ended
Work location: 1–2 on-site days/week in Helsinki/Tampere/Jyväskylä. Monthly whole-team day in Pasila.
Language: Finnish required; daily work in Finnish

Project description:

• Build automation and planning tools for national network operations. Join customer's EDN-PO (Defined Networks — Planning & Operations) team within the broader Autonomous Network - Operations unit, working closely with two software engineers and three network domain experts.
• Backend-leaning role with meaningful UI work; occasional infra/DevOps is part of the job

What you’ll do:

• Design and deliver backend services in a microservices, event-driven environment (Kafka)
• Contribute to UI features in React/TypeScript. Develop cloud-native services (GCP) and IaC (Terraform); operate on Kubernetes
• Use AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and share practices with the team
• Collaborate tightly with network specialists to translate complex domain needs into software
• Modern agile/lean ways of working; proactive learning in a complex domain

Tech stack:

• You’re comfortable with Kotlin (preferred) or Java on the JVM
• Microservices and event-based architectures (Kafka)
• React + TypeScript, Kubernetes, GCP, Terraform

Nice to have:

• GCP depth (incl. Vertex AI)
• Terraform expertise
• Graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)
• Go
• IP/MPLS or broader networking knowledge
• Interest in improving team practices and development processes.
