We are seeking a versatile UX/UI and Service Designer for a large public sector organization. The customer is currently establishing a unified agent architecture, governance model, and development framework within their Azure environment. The objective is to enable the creation of scalable and portable AI solutions that can be adapted to the specific needs of various internal departments.

The selected consultant will ensure that these complex technical solutions are user-centric, accessible, and seamlessly integrated into the workflows of the organization's internal units. You will work alongside a technical team responsible for implementing these solutions within the centralized Azure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Designing intuitive user interfaces for tailored AI solutions and AI agents.
  • Applying service design methodologies to map user journeys and ensure AI solutions add real value to internal department workflows.
  • Ensuring full compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG) across all designs, a critical requirement for the public sector. Defining usability principles for generative AI interactions (e.g., handling latency, hallucination warnings, and conversational flows).
  • Collaborating with developers to implement designs within the Azure environment constraints.

Qualifications and technical skills

  • Core Design Expertise: Strong experience in User Interface (UI) design and Service Design.
  • Accessibility: Proven expertise in accessibility standards and designing inclusive digital services.
  • AI Usability: Demonstrated experience and insight into designing the usability of AI-based solutions (e.g., Human-AI interaction patterns).
  • Domain Understanding: Ability to translate complex architectural concepts into user-friendly interfaces.
  • Language: Full professional proficiency in Finnish is mandatory.

  • Project duration: Initial fixed term of 4–6 months, with extension possibilities until the end of 2031
  • Location requirements: Remote work allowed, with occasional on-site meetings required
