Backend Developer (Data & Personalization)

What You'll Be Doing:

As one of two Backend Developers, your primary focus will be on the core backend implementation of our personalization strategy.
This means: Team’s Day to Day work (this role is backend oriented)

• Design and develop personalization microservices and APIs
• Integrate with Amadeus and Salesforce Data Cloud capabilities
• Ensure data quality through tracking & consent management
• Build and optimize modern high-load APIs

Current Status & Opportunity:

The team is new, the strategy is new, and the roadmap is currently being finalized. While the specific tasks are clarifying, the overall direction and high-impact goals are crystal clear.

(Note: This role is not focused on data engineering; customer infrastructure is established, and you will focus on integration and implementation with existing data sources.)

You will be joining a highly skilled and comprehensive team. The full roster will include:

• PO (Product Owner)
• Designer
• Web Analyst
• 2 x Data Scientists
• 2 x Front-End Focused Developers
• 2 x Backend Developers (You!)

Tech Stack Highlights:

• Strong backend development experience (Node.js/TypeScript or Java/Spring)
• AWS cloud services and microservices architecture
• REST API design and implementation
• Observability and monitoring - Building robust systems with proper logging, metrics, and alerting
• Salesforce ecosystem knowledge is a plus
• Experience with recommendation systems and personalization engines is a plus
• Familiarity with our stack (AWS CDK, Docker, Angular) is a plus

• Start Date: Early 2026
• Duration: 6 months (highly likely to be extended)
• Allocation: 100%
• Location: Primarily remote, but regular weekly visits to the customer office at Vantaa are a strong advantage
• Language: Fluent English is required
