Data Engineer
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join an ongoing project for a large multinational company in the industrial manufacturing sector. The project involves a significant migration from Qlik to Power BI, with a focus on moving extensive Qlik data transformations to Databricks and dbt. The underlying data platform is built on Microsoft Fabric. As part of a large, existing team, your role is to provide extended experience and deliver key project components.
Summary of the practicalities:
- Project start time: ASAP (As soon as possible)
- Project duration: 3–4 months with possible extensions
- Location requirements: Remote + occasional on-site meetings at Helsinki
- Language requirements: English
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement data lakehouse transformations using Databricks and dbt based on the existing Qlik data transformations
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless data migration and integration.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Qlik to Power BI migration effort.
Qualifications and technical skills
- Proven experience in Databricks and dbt based data lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with data platforms that serve as a source for Power BI dashboards.
- Previous experience working on Qlik to Power BI migration projects.
- Strong team-working and communication skills.
