AWS Platform Engineer (Payments)

Our customer builds and integrates payment terminals with POS systems across Europe. If these services go down, shops can’t accept payments – so your work truly matters. They already have two consultants and the teams are scaling through the autumn.

What you’ll do

  • Build and operate AWS infrastructure for terminal/POS integrations (expect “ecosystem” work across multiple services and teams).
  • Use AWS CDK to define and evolve multi-account environments.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline/CodeBuild).
  • Ensure observability and operability (CloudWatch, OpsGenie/PagerDuty).

What you bring

  • Strong skills in TypeScript/Node.js or Python (plus Bash).
  • Solid AWS expertise: IAM, VPC, ECS/ECR, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch.

Nice-to-have:

  • Security and platform services (KMS, Config, Inspector, Secrets Manager, ACM, Route 53) and experience with payments/POS.

Practicalities

  • Location: Onsite in Espoo; close collaboration with teams across Europe
  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: Until end of 2026
  • Onsite presence: 1–2 times per month (more during onboarding)
  • Language: Fluent English
  • Allocation: Full-time (100%)
