ElBits is looking for an experienced data engineer to join our data team. Our data team builds standardized national data products for the power system, such as the national grid model, and develops digital infrastructure to enable seamless collaboration and data exchange within the power sector. We also facilitate third-party innovation through effective data sharing. You will join an interdisciplinary team with developers, information modelling experts, and power system competence. The team is already in progress, but many of the major challenges still lie ahead. You will thus have the opportunity to help shape the future digital infrastructure for the grid industry. Next year, we believe we will be working on the following topics:

  • Compile and exchange geographical grid data for all of Norway, thereby simplifying a number of reporting tasks
  • Further develop the national grid model nemo.elbits.no
  • Support the collection, exchange, validation, and compilation of grid models from DSOs
  • Support the collection, exchange, and validation of measurement data and topology data to increase the capacity of the grid

We are looking for a consultant with the following experience:

  • Coding and common software development practices like CI/CD, GIT, testing
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Experience building integration platforms or data platforms, ideally in an ecosystem setting with external users
  • The team uses semantic technologies such as Graph databases, RDF, SPARQL, OWL, and the information standard CIM. It’s an advantage if the consultant is familiar with these technologies.
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences, both with different product teams as well as clients and external partners (e.g. conferences, meetups, working as team-lead/tech-lead)
