Senior Estimator / Performance Analyst is a practitioner with extensive training and experience within Estimating and Benchmarking and who can demonstrate expertise and deep competence in this specialist area. The performance analyst will coordinate estimating and benchmarking related processes, tools and procedures and represents the discipline in the forums where the expertise required.
Key responsibilities:
The performance analyst shall ensure the proper application of all company estimating and benchmarking function processes and procedures, along with compliance checks of both Internal and Contractor estimating and benchmarking deliverables as appropriate. The performance analyst shall be part of a multidiscipline team and is expected to actively seek advice and perspectives from colleagues and leaders to collect data and develop benchmark analytics. He / she is expected to also support commercial and technical reviews and make decisions and recommendations.
The right candidate may also take responsibility and act as project manager for development of company experience data base and development of future state of art data analytic tools. The candidate may also be given responsibility to act as focal point for collaboration and interfaces with external estimating and benchmarking service providers of the company.
Main tasks:
• Lead development of data capture and performance analytic tools which is inclusive of managing relevant IT processes as well as project technical information and analytics.
• Lead the project benchmarking process supporting progress through the decision gates prior to sanction and perform quality control of estimates.
• Lead continuous improvement on fit for purpose data collection and analytics.
• Contribute to the development of external service provider tools and databases
• Further development of metrics and analytics within company estimating and benchmarking systems
• Responsible for data collection at various decision gates and as required to support project services tools and benchmarks in general.
• Ensure compliance and expert in the application of the ISO-19008 cost code structure
• Estimating support as required for the projects.
Qualification requirements:
Education
• BSc/MSc. in Engineering / Economics / Management or equivalent education
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Significant experience from oil and gas sectors, this can range from project management, supply chain to engineering
• Experienced user of Power BI: report designing, data modelling, as well as visualisations
• In-depth knowledge of estimating processes within the oil & sector: methodologies, metrics, and latest trends.
• Candidates with experience with Subsea scope of work and estimating is preferred.
• Familiarity with product development lifecycle and relevant processes: lean and agile.
• Ability to structure and analyse fast high multidimensional data
